Should we uninstall chinese apps?

The anti-China sentiment is fuelling among the Indians in the midst of the border disputes between China and India. The Intel agencies have asked the government to block or advise people to stop the use of 52 Chinese apps according to the Hindustan Times report. How many of us can use a mobile phone without Chinese apps we cannot share any files between mobiles/PC's without Xender and Shareit we cannot scan any document without the help of  Camscanner and its benefits goes on. But some apps are detrimental to society like the Zoom Video Conferencing app which has data security concerns and the Tik Tok app which affects the mindset of the young population.

If some apps have safety concerns we should uninstall such applications but we should not have a hatred attitude to all the Chinese applications and corporations which is in any means not affecting our interests. We have to learn some things from history, we know what happened before pre-globalization we had a closed economy where the Indian economy didn't grow significantly if we restrict trade with china we have to incur a huge loss.

From my perspective, the government must solve the issue through bi-lateral diplomatic relations and both the countries should foster open-trade by easing the government regulations and tariff restrictions at the same time India should be self-reliant without depending much upon other nations that is what Modi government's flagship program Make In India and 'Atmanirbar' project focuses on.

The best way to compete with other nation is not to blame them or put them down but to focus on our strengths and work on it, we all know China as 'Manufacturing Hub' which has good supply chain network across countries, India is good with technology, India's technology does outsourcing services across nations.

What if for the customers if China-India ties get worsen. The disadvantages of a closed economy are applicable to this one.

There will be a lack of choices for the customers to choose the product, lack of competition leads to increase in prices of the product with less quality. For example, if we take the Indian smartphone Industry the Chinese brands are Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo, Lenovo, Coolpad, One plus, honor, Huawei think of a situation whether Indian smartphone industry will exist without these brands if they do what will be the price and quality? Indian Company Micromax failed to meet the competition and failed to innovate thus it got bankrupted. Ultimately the customers are benefitting from globalization.

From the Indus-valley civilization to the pre-colonization period i.e; 1700's India was a rich country. During the phase, the country India's share of world income declined from 22.3% in the 1700s to 3.8% in 1952. what we can learn from history is maintaining good trade relations can help our country to boost the economy.
